Kushwaha Elected as State Secretary, Awadh

14 Dec (HS): The election process for the responsibility of State President and

State Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Awadh was concluded

today at the State Office of Awadh located in Kaiserbagh, Lucknow. Prof. (Dr.)

Neetu Singh has been re-elected to the responsibility of State President,

Awadh, while Arpan Kushwaha has been newly elected to the responsibility of

State Secretary, Awadh.

Prof.

Rakesh Dwivedi, the Election Officer for the proceedings, announced the results

and stated that both office-bearers will officially assume their charges during

the 65th State Conference of ABVP Awadh. The conference is scheduled to take

place in Bahraich on December 17, 18, and 19. Prof. Dwivedi highlighted that

this marks a historic moment for ABVP Awadh, as it is the first time the State

Secretary, Awadh has been elected from an institute of national importance,

specifically a National Law University.

Prof.

(Dr.) Neetu Singh serves as a Professor in the Department of Anthropology at

Vidyant Hindu P.G. College. She completed her M.A. and Ph.D. from the

University of Allahabad and conducted research in Odisha under a Post-Doctoral

Fellowship from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). Her

extensive academic portfolio includes presenting research papers in various

countries, including the UK (London), China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and

Russia. She has also served as a coordinator for various projects within the

Sanskrit Department and her papers have been published in numerous prestigious

national and international journals. Currently, she is a member of the Academic

Council at Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari. She also serves on the

drafting committee formed by the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department to formulate

the state's culture policy proposals. Associated with ABVP since 1995, she has

successfully discharged important responsibilities in the past, including

Metropolitan President, Vibhaag Incharge of Lucknow and State Vice-president of

Awadh.

Arpan

Kushwaha has been associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad since

2022. He is currently pursuing a B.A. LL.B. at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National

Law University, Lucknow. Regarding his organizational journey, he has

previously served successfully as the University Unit Secretary, Campus and

Metropolitan Convener for 'Think India'. Additionally, he has served as the

University Coordinator for the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. He currently holds the

responsibility of State Convener of Awadh for Think India. Kushwaha has been

elected as the State Secretary, Awadh for the 2025–26 session.
