
Tinsukia (Assam), 13 December (HS): The mortal remains of six workers who lost their lives in a horrific road accident in Arunachal Pradesh were brought back to their homes on Saturday, plunging Tinsukia’s Gelapukhuri Tea Estate into deep mourning.
A heart-wrenching scene unfolded as grieving family members broke down upon seeing the bodies with cries of sorrow echoing across the tea garden. Relatives and neighbours gathered in large numbers to pay their last respects, while several family members reportedly fainted under the weight of the tragedy.
The deceased were among the 21 workers killed in the devastating road accident at Hayuliang in Arunachal Pradesh, one of the deadliest mishaps in the region in recent times.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area, with residents demanding improved road safety measures and accountability to prevent such tragedies in the future.----------
