
New Delhi, Dec 11.(HS): The Rajya Sabha is set for a crucial debate on electoral reforms today, with the BJP lining up four speakers to articulate the party’s position on the proposed changes. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Ujjwal Nikam, Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Kavita Patidar will represent the ruling party in the Upper House discussion.
In the Lok Sabha, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will move the Appropriation (No. 4) Bill, 2025. The legislation seeks Parliament’s approval for additional expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of India for the financial year 2025–26. The House will also take up discussion and voting on the first batch of Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025–26, along with consideration of cut motions moved by MPs.
