Farrukabad,
11 Dec (HS): On Thursday, in the Mohammadabad police station area, a student,
along with his cousins, who were on their way to school on a bike, died in a
road accident. All were students at Roop Singh College, Pancham Nagla.
Following the incident, an agitated crowd blocked the road. Senior police and
administrative officials have arrived. The family is not allowing the bodies to
be removed from the scene.
According
to reports, Raja (20), son of Keshav, a resident of Nagla Bhud, and his cousins
Kajal (16), daughter of Mukhlesh, and Sejal (13), daughter of Mukhlesh, were
on their way to school on their bike. As they approached Dubey Cold Storage,
Alavalpur, they were hit by an oncoming DCM. All three died on the spot. The
DCM driver fled the scene, abandoning the DCM. The deaths of three students
from the same family sparked outrage among residents, who blocked the road at
the scene.
Upon
receiving information about the blockade, Additional Superintendent of Police
Arun Kumar and City Magistrate Sanjay Kumar arrived at the scene. The family
members refused to remove the bodies and created a ruckus at the scene. Due to
the sensitive situation, police forces from several police stations were called
to the scene. At the time of filing news, the blockade remained in place. Additional
Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar stated that the DCM driver is being traced.
Upon receiving a complaint, a report will be filed and action will be taken.
Currently, the protestors are unwilling to listen to anyone and cops are having
a hard time in pacifying them.
