New Delhi, 10 December (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged citizens to actively participate in the ‘Your Capital, Your Right’ campaign — an initiative aimed at helping people reclaim their forgotten or unclaimed financial assets such as dormant deposits, insurance proceeds, dividends, and other unclaimed funds.

Sharing a LinkedIn blog post on X, the Prime Minister called the initiative an opportunity for individuals to “turn their forgotten financial resources into new possibilities.” He encouraged every citizen to become a part of this national movement designed to restore rightful ownership of unclaimed assets.

According to government officials, the ‘Your Capital, Your Right’ campaign seeks to ensure that crores of rupees lying idle in unclaimed accounts and investments reach their legitimate owners through a streamlined and transparent process.

Financial institutions across the country have reported that a significant number of accounts and investments have remained dormant for years, leaving large sums unclaimed. Under this new initiative, citizens can now access consolidated information about their financial entitlements through a single, convenient platform.
