Gadchiroli, 10 Dec (HS): Eleven dreaded Naxalites

surrendered in Gadchiroli in front of Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla

on Wednesday. The highly placed functionaries in the Communist Party of India (Mao),

including those who had Rs 82 lakh prize money on their heads, surrendered.

Four of them in full uniform with amrs on their person surrendered amidst high

security.

On October 15, in presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis

very senior leader Bhupati with 61 colleagues had surrendered. Eleven others

surrendered in front of DGP Rashmi Shukla recently in Gadchiroli.

DGP Shukla appreciated the work of C-60 Squad of the

Anti-Naxal Mission and appealed to the remaining Naxalites to give up path of

violence and join the main stream of life. She also launched the guidebook ‘Project

Udaan - Vision of Development’ to informs people about various government welfare

schemes.

Additional DG Dr Shering Dorje, DIG Ankit Goel, DIG of

CRPF Ajay Kumar Sharma, Additional SP M Ramesh Saikartik, Aniket Hirad and

others were present
