05 Sept (HS); The Shrikrishna Janmashtami was celebrated across the nation.

Dahi Handi to mark the festival is a popular event. In Mumbai 22 participants

in Dahi Handi, called Govinda, were reported to have received injuries. Of them

21 were treated and discharged, while one Govinda is in the hisptal, Bombay

Municipal Corporation PRO informed.

In

an accident during the festival a seven year child died in Malad suburb, as a

steel column for the Dahi Handi fell accidentally and the boy received injuries

on the head.
