Aichi-Nagoya, 21 September (H.S.): The Indian trio of Himanshu Dhillon, Parth Mane and Rudrankksh Patil won the silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle team event at the 2026 Asian Games on Monday.

At the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery, the Indian team finished second with a total score of 1,890.1 points. China’s team of Sheng Lihao, Ma Si Han and Zhang Changhong won the gold medal with a score of 1,899.0 points. China’s score also set a new qualification world record.

India’s Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon also qualified for the individual final, which is scheduled to take place later on Monday. Rudrankksh finished third in qualification with 631.8 points, while Himanshu was seventh with 630.0 points. Parth Mane scored 628.3 points to finish 10th.

China’s Sheng Lihao topped the qualification standings with 635.4 points, setting a new Asian Games qualification record. Ma Si Han finished second with 633.0 points, while Zhang Changhong was fifth with 630.6 points.

Although Zhang Changhong finished among the top eight, he could not qualify for the individual final. Under the competition rules, a maximum of two shooters from any one country can compete in the individual final.
