Aichi-Nagoya, 21 September (H.S.): India secured its third medal in shooting at the 2026 Asian Games on Monday. The Indian trio of Himanshu Dhillon, Parth Mane and Rudrankksh Patil won the silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle team event. India finished second behind China.

Earlier on Sunday, Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Uttam Maskar and Vidarsa K. Vinod won the silver medal in the women’s 10m air rifle team event. Elavenil subsequently won another silver in the individual event, taking India’s shooting medal tally to two before the men’s team secured the third.

India has also secured another medal in mixed martial arts. Suchika Tariyal reached the semifinals of the women’s Traditional 60kg category, thereby guaranteeing herself at least a bronze medal.

According to the latest information available on Monday, India is 10th in the overall medal standings. China leads the table with 21 medals, including 12 gold medals.
