Guwahati, 17 September (HS): Garima Saikia Garg, wife of late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, on Thursday remembered the popular artiste as she attended the three-day Zubeen Divas programme at Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur.
Speaking at the venue, Garima said she continues to talk to Zubeen and seeks his advice whenever she needs guidance. “I always keep talking to Zubeen. Whenever I need to seek advice on something, I take it from him,” she said.
On the first day of three days Zubeen Divas celebrations, Garima offered prayers in memory of the singer and recalled her “pranor Goldie” with emotion. The three-day programme at Zubeen Khetra is being organised in remembrance of the beloved artiste.
A special artwork depicting Zubeen Garg has also drawn attention at the venue. The portrait has been created using discarded plastic bottles, giving a unique form to the image of the celebrated singer. The artwork was prepared by Tinsukia’s Jagun-based artists Bikash Sharma and Rajdeep Das as part of the commemorative programme.-----------
