New Delhi, 31 August (H.S.):

South Delhi Superstarz were crowned Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 champions after defeating Central Delhi Kings by seven wickets in a thrilling final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday night.

Chasing a target of 183 runs, South Delhi Superstarz reached 186 for three in 18.2 overs, securing victory with 10 balls to spare and lifting the DPL 2026 trophy.

Anmol Sharma provided a solid foundation in the run chase, scoring 64 off 42 balls. His innings featured six fours and three sixes and kept South Delhi firmly in control of the required run rate.

Ankit Dabas then produced a blistering unbeaten knock of 61 from just 33 deliveries, smashing five fours and four sixes. His aggressive batting ensured that South Delhi maintained momentum throughout the chase.

Captain Tejasvi Dahiya also played an important role, contributing 33 runs off 18 balls, including three fours and three sixes.

Ekansh Dobal finished the chase in style, remaining unbeaten on seven from three deliveries, including a six that sealed South Delhi's emphatic victory.

Earlier, Central Delhi Kings, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, posted 182 for eight in their allotted 20 overs.

Samarth Singh top-scored for Central Delhi with a quick 51 off 27 balls, including six fours and one six. Captain Jonty Sidhu scored 36 from 19 deliveries, hitting three sixes.

Yugal Saini contributed 32 runs off 29 balls, while Money Grewal provided a late boost to the innings by scoring 18 runs from just seven deliveries.

For South Delhi, Divansh Rawat was the most successful bowler, claiming three wickets for 17 runs. Vision Panchal took two wickets, while Ankit Dabas, Pranshu Vijayran and Anshuman Hooda picked up one wicket apiece.

South Delhi's batters, however, dominated the final while chasing the target. They maintained an aggressive scoring rate and steadily moved towards victory without allowing Central Delhi to build pressure.

South Delhi Superstarz eventually reached 186 for three in 18.2 overs, completing a convincing seven-wicket victory and securing the DPL 2026 title.
