Guwahati, 25 August (HS): Marking 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra on Tuesday released a series of special posters under the ‘Namami Bharatam’ initiative.

The programme seeks to highlight the glorious journey of ‘Vande Mataram’, its contribution to nurturing national consciousness and its enduring message of patriotism.

The poster-release programme was attended by Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Organising Secretary of Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra; Kshetriya Mantri Jagadindra Rai Choudhury; Kulendra Kumar Bhagawati, President of Shishu Shiksha Samiti; General Secretary Jagannath Rajbanshi, along with other office-bearers, workers and well-wishers of Vidya Bharati.

Speaking on the occasion, the office-bearers said that ‘Vande Mataram’ is not merely a song but a symbol of India’s national consciousness, devotion to the motherland and the inspiring legacy of the freedom movement. They said the completion of 150 years of the iconic national song is a matter of immense pride for every Indian.

Mukuteswar Goswami, Prachar Sanyojak of Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, said Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra is undertaking various activities to familiarise society with the historical and cultural significance of ‘Vande Mataram’.

Those present at the programme pledged to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and take the message of ‘Vande Mataram’ to a wider section of society.-----------
