
Raigad.
20 Aug (HS): The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) detected narcotic
drugs worth Rs 300 crore concealed in sacks containing maize, at JNPA in Uran
Tehsil in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. Two [persons were arrested with 55 kg
of Mephedrone (MD) at the Container Freight Station.
The
Forensic Department personnel were summoned to confirm the high quality MD.
Preliminary
investigation indicate connection with syndicate operated by drug smuggler Mohammad
Hussain from Pakistan. The drugs were being supplied to some import-export
traders in Mumbai
