Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, among several other political leaders, expressed deep grief over the deaths of seven devotees in a stampede at the Ashok Dham Shiva Temple in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district on the third Monday of the holy month of Sawan.

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan expressed grief over the incident in a post on social media platform X. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased devotees and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. He expressed his sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described the incident as heartbreaking. Expressing deep sorrow over the deaths of devotees in the stampede, he conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and expressed solidarity with them during the difficult time.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also expressed grief over the incident. He described the reports of devotees losing their lives and several others being injured as deeply distressing. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described the incident at the Ashok Dham Shiva Temple as extremely tragic and distressing. Expressing condolences to the bereaved families, she said she hoped they would find strength and courage during this difficult period. She also wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

AAP national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also expressed deep sorrow over the Lakhisarai tragedy. Conveying his condolences to the bereaved families, he stressed the need for heightened vigilance regarding crowd management and the safety of devotees at religious places.
