Mumbai, 17 Aug (HS): Three worker were injured in a

powerful blast in Tarapur MIDC in Boisar region in Maharashtra’s Palghat

District. The blast occurred in SMS-1 plot on Monday morning when about 150

workers were working in Viraj Profile Company. Following the blast the material

in the company caught fire. Some of the workers are suspected to be stranded in

the factory, while others ran out of the factory.

The Fire Brigade started dousing the flames, Police

also reached the factory. The cause of the blast was not immediately known.

Police and the administration is investigating into it.

Local people said that three blasts occurred in the

factory, breaking glass shutters and some metal pieces fell at some distance.

The three workers who were injured in the blast were

rushed to a hospital.
