Guwahati, 15 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday paid his heartfelt tribute to Sri Aurobindo on his birth anniversary, describing him as a unique symbol of spirituality, Indian philosophy and patriotism.

In a social media post, Dr. Sarma said Sri Aurobindo’s profound knowledge, spiritual pursuit and far-reaching thoughts accorded a new stature to India’s rich heritage and culture on the global stage.

The Chief Minister said the great thinker’s sacrifice, penance and ideals would remain an eternal source of inspiration for the nation’s consciousness. He added that Sri Aurobindo’s timeless philosophy and ideals would continue to inspire people on the path of justice, reform, self-respect and service to the nation.----------
