Mumbai, 12 Aug (HS): Six bodies were recovered from

the houses buried under debris following a landslide in Gausian Chowl in Ashok

Nagar of Ghatkopar area of Mumbai.

Several houses were buried in the landslide which occurred

around 3 am on Wednesday. The Fire Brigade and NDRF teams recovered six bodies

from the debris. About six more are feared buried under the debris.

Many homes were issued notice to vacate by the

Municipal Authority. The situation will be reviewed, Mayor Ritu Tawde, who

rushed to the site said.

Deputy Collector has announced a financial support

to the families of the deceased of Rs 3 lakh each.
