Prayagraj, August 01 (HS): North Central Railway and the

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Prayagraj, have finalized comprehensive

arrangements to ensure the smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the

Computer Based Test (CBT) for 22,195 vacancies under Level-1.

This large-scale recruitment examination is scheduled to be

conducted from 03rd August to 25th August 2026 across 16 examination days in 48

shifts. A total of 52,39,620 candidates are registered to appear for this

nationwide examination across 335 examination centres located in 144 cities all

over India.

Under the jurisdiction of RRB/Prayagraj, the recruitment

examination will be conducted across 28 examination centres. Out of these, 25

centres are located in Uttar Pradesh across the cities of Prayagraj, Kanpur,

Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, and Moradabad, while 03 centres are situated in

Uttarakhand across Roorkee and Dehradun. This recruitment drive is being

conducted for 09 distinct categories of posts to fill a total of 1,183

vacancies across the three divisions and workshops of North Central Railway.

The division-wise distribution of examination centres and

the railway officers deputed as coordinators is as follows:

• Prayagraj

Division: Within Prayagraj city, 10 examination centres have been established,

supervised by 16 Railway Coordinators (Officers). Additionally, under the same

division, 04 examination centres are set up in Kanpur city with 07 Railway

Coordinators, while 02 examination centres are located in Aligarh city with 04

Railway Coordinators assigned to manage operations smoothly.

• Agra

Division: In Agra city, a total of 07 examination centres have been designated,

with 13 Railway Coordinators (Officers) deputed to oversee the examination

protocols and arrangements.

• Jhansi

Division: In Jhansi city, 01 examination centre has been set up, where 02

Railway Coordinators have been deputed for effective supervision.

To ensure the highest standards of integrity and smooth

administration, the following key arrangements have been implemented:

1. Deputation

of Senior Officers as Centre Coordinators: One senior Railway Officer is

deputed as a Centre Coordinator at each examination centre. At larger centers

with higher candidate footfall, two officers have been assigned to ensure

strict supervision.

2. Adequate

Staff Ratio: Staff members have been deployed at a ratio of 1 staff member per

100 candidates (1:100) to assist candidates and manage smooth verification and

entry procedures.

3. Control Room

& 100% CCTV Surveillance: The entire premises of every examination centre

will be covered under 24/7 CCTV surveillance. Adequate Railway Protection Force

(RPF) personnel have been stationed to manage security operations and monitor

the dedicated control room.

4. Comprehensive

Training for Personnel: All officers and staff members deputed for examination

duties have undergone thorough training regarding examination protocols,

standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contingency handling.

5. Coordination

with District Administration: The district and police administrations of the

respective exam cities have been formally requested to assist with maintaining

law and order, traffic management, and seamless transit for candidates on exam

days.

Railway administration request all candidates to carefully

review the guidelines mentioned on their e-call letters, reach their designated

examination centres well in advance, and extend their full cooperation in

maintaining the sanctity and smooth execution of the examination.
