New Delhi, 04 July (H.S.): External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Saturday extended greetings to the Government and people of the United States on the occasion of the country's 250th Independence Day. He also expressed his commitment to further advancing the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

In a post on social media platform X, Jaishankar conveyed his best wishes to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the US Government and the American people on the historic occasion of the United States celebrating its 250th Independence Day.

He said he looked forward to working together to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

Notably, the United States is celebrating the 250th anniversary of its independence this year. Over the past several years, India and the United States have significantly deepened their strategic ties across a wide range of sectors, including defence, trade, technology, energy, education and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

Under the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, the two countries have launched several important initiatives aimed at promoting peace, stability and prosperity at both the regional and global levels.
