
Kokrajhar (Assam), 11 July (HS): In a major boost for the youth of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the Ministry of Railways has officially approved the establishment of a Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination centre in Kokrajhar, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the region.
Announcing the development through a social media post, MP Pramod Boro said the approval was the result of sustained efforts made during the tenure of the UPPL-led government in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
He said the new RRB examination centre would open fresh employment opportunities for educated youth of the region by making railway recruitment examinations more accessible.
The MP also expressed gratitude to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar for approving the proposal. He added that the move would significantly reduce travel and geographical challenges faced by candidates appearing for government recruitment examinations, benefiting thousands of aspirants across the Bodoland region.-----------
