Mumbai, 10 July (HS): Mumbai ATS (Anti-Terrorist

Squad) raided several places in Mumabi, Thane, Kurla, Bandra, Jogeshwari, Navi

Mumbai, Meera Road, Bhayandar, Sangli, Satara and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to

detect people in contact with Pakistan’s ISI handler Shahzad Bhatti through the

social media. Enquiry into the movements of the suspects is being carried out.

Delhi

ATS on Wednesday exposed two modules connected to Bhatti and arrested six

suspects in Punjab. Maharashtra ATS raids were connected as a part of further

investigation.

According

to Maharashtra ATS, attacks using petrol bombs in Delhi were being planned as

per instructions of Bhatti. Recce of a railway station and crowded market was

carried out. Videos of these places were recovered from the suspects’ mobile

phones. The videos were forwarded to Bhatti through a banned messaging app.

An

accused Danish alias Chand Miyan was informing Bhatti about delivery and

storage of materials. The materials may be connected to the planned petrol

bombs. Delhi Police had earlier seized petrol bombs from Vijay Ghat area behind

Raj Ghat.

Besides

the six accused by Delhi police, ten more people were in contact with Bhatti in

connection with the planned attack.

Danish

was handling the responsibility of recce and organising the possible attacks

for a consideration of Rs 20,000. His associate Salman was assigned the

responsibility to shoot the planned attack and forwards the videos to Bhatti.

Tayyab was required to procure arms and forward them for sale.

Zuber

Khan was suspected to have transported arms from Amritsar. Ali Fazal was to

sale arms, while Malkit Singh was to hand over arms dropped using Pakistani

drones to other handlers.

Investigation into these activities and involvement

of other members is being investigated.
