
Lucknow, 05 June (HS): On the occasion of World Environment
Day, a tree-planting program was organized at the new campus of the State
Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). On this occasion,
Additional Chief Secretary, Basic and Secondary Education, Partha Sarathi Sen
Sharma, Director General of School Education, Monika Rani, Joint Director of
Education (Samagra Shiksha), Dr. Pawan Sachan, and Joint Director and Unit Incharge
of Girls' Education, Dr. Mukesh Singh, planted trees and gave the message of
environmental protection and green development.
Additional Chief Secretary, Basic and Secondary Education,
Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, said that environmental protection has become a
global necessity today. Tree planting is the most effective way to keep the
Earth safe and balanced. If every citizen plants and protects at least one tree
every year, we can provide a clean, healthy, and green environment for future
generations. He said that the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign is an
inspiring effort to express respect for nature and motherhood, and everyone
should participate enthusiastically.
Director General of School Education, Monica Rani, said that
schools are not only centers of education, but also powerful vehicles for
social awareness and positive change. Developing a sense of environmental
protection among students is our priority. Through tree planting, children are
being encouraged to be sensitive to nature and understand their environmental
responsibilities. She said that World Environment Day provides us with an
opportunity to pledge to build a green and sustainable future.
