
New Delhi, June 5 (HS): Gold prices witnessed a marginal decline in domestic bullion markets during early trading on Thursday, while silver prices remained unchanged. Due to the weakness in gold rates, the yellow metal became cheaper by ₹100 to ₹110 per 10 grams across most parts of the country during the opening session. In Chennai, however, gold prices recorded a steeper decline of ₹200 to ₹210 per 10 grams.
Following the drop, 24-carat gold was trading in the range of ₹156,100 to ₹157,960 per 10 grams across the country's bullion markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold between ₹143,090 and ₹144,790 per 10 grams. With silver prices remaining stable, the white metal continued to trade at ₹279,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In the national capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹156,250 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹143,240 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial hub, 24-carat gold was available at ₹156,100 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹143,090 per 10 grams. Similarly, in Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹156,150 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹143,140 per 10 grams.
Among other major cities, Chennai recorded 24-carat gold prices at ₹157,960 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold prices at ₹144,790 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹156,100 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹143,090 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹156,150 per 10 grams, whereas 22-carat gold stood at ₹143,140 per 10 grams.
In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹156,250 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹143,240 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was available at ₹156,150 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹143,140 per 10 grams. In Lucknow, bullion traders quoted 24-carat gold at ₹156,250 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹143,240 per 10 grams.
Gold prices also declined in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha. In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹156,100 per 10 grams. Likewise, 22-carat gold was being sold at ₹143,090 per 10 grams in all three cities.
Despite the modest decline in gold prices, silver continued to hold steady, indicating a largely stable trend in the domestic precious metals market during the early hours of trading.
