Guwahati, 26 June (HS): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava on Friday inspected Rangapara North, Dekargaon and the old Tezpur railway station to review ongoing infrastructure development and proposed rail expansion projects.

He reviewed the redevelopment of Rangapara North station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, where nearly 80% of the ₹55-crore project has been completed. The GM also assessed the proposed Agthori–Dekargaon and Tezpur–Silghat railway line projects, including a planned bridge over the Brahmaputra, which are currently under review by the Central Ministry after completion of survey works.

Shrivastava further conducted a window trailing inspection from Kamakhya to Dekargaon to examine tracks, bridges, stations and other railway assets, reaffirming NFR's commitment to improving rail infrastructure, passenger amenities and connectivity across the Northeast.----------
