Mission Pehchan and Fun Day
Instructions for registration on Pankh portal and use of
NCERT digital resources
Lucknow, 25 June (HS): Under the chairmanship of O.P.
Tripathi, Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Sanskrit Education Council,
Lucknow, a review meeting was convened on Thursday at the Sanskrit Council
office with the Inspector of Sanskrit Schools, Uttar Pradesh Prayagraj and all
the Divisional Sub-Inspectors of Sanskrit Schools on points like creation of
educational environment in Sanskrit Secondary Schools, School Chalo Abhiyan,
quality teaching-learning etc.
The Secretary of Sanskrit Education Council instructed all
the officers present in the meeting to enhance the educational environment in
Sanskrit secondary schools, to ensure the teaching-learning arrangements as per
the educational calendar provided to the schools by the Sanskrit Council and to
regularly inspect and supervise the Sanskrit secondary schools.
In the meeting, emphasis was laid on ensuring instructions
for teaching and learning as per the instructions given in the National Education
Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework 2023, and on getting guidance by
registering the candidates of Sanskrit schools on the Career Guideline Portal
Pankh.
Under Mission Pehchan, to increase self-confidence and
knowledge in students, as per the roster, a student will write Today's
good thought in Sanskrit on a similar notice board in the prayer assembly
every day and will explain it in the assembly. Students will read daily
newspapers and share news and thoughts on national and international issues and
relevant topics. It has been decided to record the daily thoughts in the good
thought register and the student with the best thought of the month will be
honored at the end of the month.
Instructions were given to the concerned officials to
develop creative skills and scientific attitude and interest among the students
and to enhance learning through debate, quiz, essay writing and local tour etc.
under Fun Day on every Saturday.
Under institutional reforms, forms were prescribed for various
types of amendments received from the schools and made available to all the
sub-inspectors and instructions were given that the amendment cases from all
the Sanskrit schools should be sent to the Sanskrit Council office only on the
prescribed forms.
Students should be encouraged to use NCERT's digital
resources, including books, mobile apps, and QR code resources. These resources
are useful for students, teachers, and parents. Institution teachers were
advised to read the book Learning Outcomes at the Secondary Level,
published by NCERT, to understand the skills and approaches to learning that
need to be continuously developed and enhanced.
