Chandigarh, 19 June (H.S.): In a major intelligence-led operation, Punjab Police, in coordination with Central Agencies and the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), have successfully secured the deportation of two wanted operatives linked to the banned Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) from Malaysia. The accused were apprehended by Punjab Police upon their arrival at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi and subsequently brought to Punjab for further investigation. Information regarding this operation was shared by Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav.

The arrested individuals have been

identified as Gurwinder Singh of Ambala and Manjeet Singh of Patiala. According

to Punjab Police, both were key Malaysia-based operatives of a KZF-backed

terror module involved in plotting attacks on critical railway infrastructure

in Punjab, particularly the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) lines.

The arrests are linked to an ongoing

investigation into a terror network that was earlier busted by Punjab Police.

The module was allegedly responsible for the IED blast on the Railway Freight

Corridor near Sirhind in Fatehgarh Sahib on January 23, 2026, as well as an

attempted explosion on the same corridor near Shambhu in Patiala district on

April 27, 2026.

During the earlier operation, Punjab

Police had arrested four accused and recovered a significant cache of militant

hardware, including an RPG launcher, an improvised explosive device (IED), RDX,

hand grenades, and sophisticated pistols along with ammunition.

Further investigations into the

transnational conspiracy revealed the involvement of KZF handlers and financial

facilitators operating from Malaysia. Police investigations found that the

deported accused played a crucial role in channeling terror funds through

offshore accounts to KZF operatives in Punjab. The funds were allegedly

intended to support terrorist activities aimed at disturbing peace, security,

and public order in the state.

Both accused were produced before a

competent court in Patiala on June 18, 2026, which remanded them to police

custody for further interrogation. Investigators are now working to identify

other members of the network and uncover the full extent of the conspiracy.

Punjab Police reiterated its

commitment to dismantling terrorist networks, disrupting terror financing

channels, and ensuring the safety, security, and communal harmony of Punjab.

Officials stated that the investigation remains active and further arrests and

revelations are expected as the probe progresses.
