State Higher Education Council building, inaugurated camp office of Directorate

of Higher Education

Lucknow, 10 June (HS): Under the leadership of Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, the infrastructure of higher education is being

continuously strengthened with the aim of establishing Uttar Pradesh among the

leading states in the field of education. In this sequence, on Wednesday, the

state's Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay inspected the

under-construction Uttar Pradesh State Higher Education Council building

located at Aashiana, Lucknow, along with Principal Secretary Higher Education

M. P. Agarwal. Along with this, he inaugurated the newly constructed camp

office of the Directorate of Higher Education and dedicated it for departmental

work.

During the inspection, the Higher Education Minister

inspected various parts of the building under construction and reviewed the

progress, quality, and deadlines. He directed the executing agency and

departmental officials to ensure adherence to quality standards in building

construction and to complete the project in a timely manner. He stated that

this building will not only serve as an administrative complex, but will also

serve as an important foundation for making the state's higher education system

more effective, modern, and technologically capable.

Minister Upadhyay said that under the leadership of Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is implementing comprehensive

reforms in the field of higher education. Continuous work is being done to

effectively implement the New Education Policy-2020, expand infrastructure in

universities and colleges, make digital resources available, and promote

quality education. The completion of the State Higher Education Council

building will provide new impetus to policymaking, educational planning, research

promotion, and institutional coordination.

Following the inspection, the Higher Education Minister

inaugurated the newly constructed camp office of the Directorate of Higher

Education by cutting the ribbon and unveiling a plaque. He stated that the opening

of the new camp office will facilitate departmental operations and establish

better coordination between the government, the Directorate, universities, and

colleges. This will make the review, monitoring, and implementation processes

of various schemes and programs more effective and transparent.

Minister Upadhyay said that the state government is working

to develop higher education institutions not only as centers of learning, but

also as centers of innovation, research, skill development, and employment-oriented

education. To this end, special emphasis is being placed on modern

infrastructure, digital governance, and the creation of a better educational

environment.

After the inauguration, officials briefed the minister on

the camp office's arrangements and available facilities. On this occasion,

department officials welcomed and greeted the minister and honored him with a

robe and a memento. Higher Education Department Secretary Amrit Tripathi,

Higher Education Minister B.L. Sharma, along with senior officials from the

Higher Education Department, State Higher Education Council, and Directorate

were present at the event. The officials provided the Minister with detailed

information regarding the current status of the building's construction,

upcoming action plans, and departmental activities.
