Lucknow,
07 May (HS): It is ridiculous to accuse the BJP of 'vote theft' and 'counting
irregularities'. The SP chief's statement is the result of frustration and disappointment
of political defeat. After being repeatedly rejected by the public, the SP is
now questioning democratic institutions. The reason for the defeat is public
disillusionment, not any irregularities in the election process, remarked State
President of Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Minister of State for Finance
Pankaj Chaudhary whiler strongly reacting to the allegations made by Samajwadi
Party National President Akhilesh Yadav. He clearly said that the election
process is completely under the control of independent constitutional
institutions and raising questions on it is like weakening democracy.
He
said that questioning institutions like the Election Commission, central
forces, and the judiciary is unfortunate. If anyone has concrete evidence, they
should present it on the relevant forum, but repeatedly making accusations
without evidence is an attempt to mislead the public. Pankaj Chaudhary also
dismissed the allegations regarding the 2022 assembly elections as baseless. He
said that the people of Uttar Pradesh had given the BJP a clear mandate based
on law and order, development, and good governance, and this is why the party
received widespread support.
He
also responded to statements made about West Bengal, saying that the Samajwadi
Party's history has been associated with anarchy, nepotism, and corruption,
which is why they see the same thing everywhere. The state president also
criticized the PDA's claim, saying it's merely a political slogan with no
impact on the ground. He said that the people of the state are now rising above
caste and class politics and prioritizing development, security, and good
governance.
Rejecting
allegations of misuse of central agencies, he stated that agencies like the CBI
and ED operate within the ambit of the law and take action against corruption.
He added that only those involved in corruption themselves raise questions
about these agencies. Finally, he expressed confidence that the public will
deliver a historic victory to the BJP in the 2027 assembly elections, and the
opposition will receive a befitting reply.
