Guwahati, 07 May (HS): BJP national president JP Nadda is scheduled to arrive in Assam on May 9 as preparations intensify for the formation of the new state government following the Assembly elections, BJP sources informed.

The BJP Legislature Party meeting will be held on May 10 to elect its leader, while the swearing-in ceremony of the new government is slated for May 12. A grand oath-taking event will be organised at Khanapara Veternary College Field, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to remain present.

Ahead of the ceremony, Director General of Police Harmeet Singh inspected the venue and reviewed the security arrangements. Chief Secretary Ravi Kota also took stock of the preparations for the major event.----------
