
Bhubaneswar, 04 May (H.S.): The renovated conference hall of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department was inaugurated at Lok Seva Bhawan on Monday by Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.
The inauguration ceremony began with traditional rituals held during the auspicious morning hours. As part of the occasion, sacred flowers associated with Lord Jagannath from Shree Jagannath Temple were brought as a mark of divine blessings.
Expressing his satisfaction, Minister Pujari described the renovated conference hall as a symbol of transformation and renewed vision within the department. He noted that such initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening administrative infrastructure and improving governance.
On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the department Aravind Padhee stated that the upgraded facility represents the department’s reform-oriented approach and will play a significant role in enhancing efficiency, coordination, and overall capacity.
The first meeting held in the newly inaugurated hall featured a detailed presentation highlighting the department’s key achievements, transparent initiatives, and future roadmap. Various issues concerning departmental functioning were also discussed in detail, incorporating suggestions from the Minister.
Officials from the Works Department, who were involved in the renovation work, were felicitated for their contribution. Senior officials of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department were present during the event.
