Lucknow,
26 May (HS): Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Yogi
government is continuously giving new dimensions to skill development and
technical education to accelerate the goal of making Uttar Pradesh a $1
trillion economy. In this sequence, in a high-level review meeting chaired by
Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Department of
Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, on Monday, global
consulting company Deloitte and leading technology company Tata Technology
presented a detailed presentation of the future roadmap and plans being
prepared for the youth of the state.
At
the meeting, representatives from Tata Technologies shared progress on
modernizing the state's state-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and
developing them into Centers of Excellence (CoEs). The presentation highlighted
that youth are being trained to meet current and future industry needs using
modern machinery, e-learning platforms, automation, and Industry 4.0
technologies, enabling them to gain employment not only nationally but also
internationally.
Meanwhile,
Deloitte experts presented on the strategic role of skill development and vocational
education in making Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy. Analyzing future job
trends, industry demand, and investment-led job creation models, Deloitte
recommended that skill development plans be directly linked to industrial
investment and new technologies, creating more employment and self-employment
opportunities for youth.
During
the meeting, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal stated that in line with Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath's vision, the expertise of global institutions will be fully
leveraged to transform Uttar Pradesh into an economic powerhouse. He added that
the collaboration of institutions like Tata Technologies and Deloitte will play
a crucial role in providing world-class training and employment opportunities
to the state's youth.
He
directed the officials to expeditiously implement the action plans and
suggestions presented by both the institutions on the ground, so that every
youth of Uttar Pradesh can become self-reliant by being equipped with modern
skills and can play an active role in the economic progress of the state.
The
meeting also emphasized that skill development programs will be made more
effective through a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The Yogi
government's goal is to develop the state's youth not just as degree holders
but as industry-ready professionals, enabling Uttar Pradesh to emerge as the
nation's largest skill capital.
