- Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Closed for Tourists From Today

Guwahati, 26 May (HS): Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will remain completely closed for tourists from May 29 as the 2025-26 tourism season is set to conclude on May 28. Authorities have announced the suspension of all tourism-related activities in the park ahead of the monsoon season.

Meanwhile, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary has also been closed for tourists from today. The annual closure has been enforced considering weather conditions and the upcoming monsoon, during which wildlife movement increases in protected forest areas.

Officials stated that the tourism season in both protected areas witnessed a significant number of domestic and foreign visitors this year. The parks are expected to reopen for tourists after the monsoon season, subject to weather and road conditions.------------
