Viksit Bharat’ Vision Discussed During Council of Ministers Meeting: PM Modi

New Delhi, May 22 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the meeting of the Council of Ministers witnessed extensive deliberations on various issues related to “Ease of Living,” “Ease of Doing Business,” and accelerating reforms.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi described Thursday’s Council of Ministers meeting as highly productive and meaningful. He said ministers exchanged ideas and shared best practices on a wide range of subjects during the deliberations.

The Prime Minister stated that the discussions particularly focused on simplifying the lives of ordinary citizens, facilitating business operations, and expediting reforms in order to realise the collective vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Notably, Prime Minister Modi chaired the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday evening and reviewed the performance report cards of all ministers. The high-level meeting, which commenced at around 5 p.m. at Sewa Teerth, continued for nearly four-and-a-half hours.

The marathon meeting featured extensive discussions on governance reforms, administrative efficiency, and the government’s long-term “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.

During the meeting, around nine ministers made detailed presentations on the functioning and achievements of their respective ministries. The performance of several ministries was also reviewed comprehensively.

The ministers also held discussions on the effective implementation of government schemes, inter-ministerial coordination, and future policy strategies. The review included an assessment of ministers’ past performances as well as an evaluation of their two-year report cards.

Special emphasis was laid on the government’s economic policies, development projects, and future roadmap, particularly in view of the prevailing situation in West Asia.
