Mathura,
02 May (HS): Vrindavan's Chandrodaya Temple, the largest, most gorgeous, and
tallest in the country, is almost finished. It is set to be inaugurated later
this month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister has received an
invitation from the temple management. The inauguration preparations are currently
under progress. The shrine will be three times the height of Delhi's Qutub
Minar. On March 8, 2014, former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav lay the temple's
foundation stone at the Akshaya Patra complex on the Vrindavan-Chhatikara
route. On November 16, 2014, the foundation was laid by then-President Pranab
Mukherjee. It will cost around Rs. 700 crore to build, according to ISKCON
Bangalore. In around 12 years, the 70-story temple will be almost complete.
Meanwhile,
major preparations are underway at the shrine in anticipation of PM Modi's
arrival. PM Modi may also offer puja within the temple's sanctum sanctorum. A
stage is also being built within the temple compound, allowing him to address
the crowd. However, the Prime Minister has not yet gotten approval from the
Prime Minister's Office (PMO). As a result, there is widespread conjecture that
he would pay a visit to Mathura between May 25 and May 30. Officials said
preparations are proceeding, but no green signal has been received from Delhi.
The
foundation is 55 meters deep: Due to the temple's height of 210 meters, special
attention was paid to its foundation. The foundation is approximately 55 meters
deep and the base is 12 meters high, compared to the 50-meter depth of the
world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Visitors
can view the Taj Mahal through a telescope: The height of the skyscraper temple
can be estimated by the fact that a telescope placed on top of the temple will
be able to view the Taj Mahal in Agra. The Taj Mahal is 80 kilometers away from
the temple. The first three floors of the building house temples dedicated to
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Radha-Krishna, and Balarama.
The
temple will be a unique example of urban and modern styles: The temple, being
built in Dravidian, urban, and modern styles, will also offer glimpses of the
heavens and divine pastimes through 4D technologies. A natural forest
environment has been created around the temple. A replica of the Yamuna River
will be created, along with facilities like boating.
