(HS): The elections to Legislative Council from Local Authorities’
Constituencies in Maharashtra will be held on June 18. The Election Commission on
Monday announced regular elections for 16 seats and by-polls for one seat of
Nagpur.
Nagpur by-polls
will be carried out as the MLC Chandrashekhar Bawankule got elected to the Maharashtra
Legislative Council.
The elections
will be held from the Local Authorities’ Constituencies in Solapur,
Ahilyanagar., Thane, Jalgaon, Sangli-Satara, Nanded, Yavatmal, Pune,
Bhandara-Gondi, Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, Nashik,
Wardha-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli. Amravati, Dharashiv-Latur-Beed, Parbhani-Hingoli,
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalna and by-polls in Nagpur.

Commission has issued the detailed election programme.
