15 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has extended her heartfelt

greetings and best wishes to the people of the state and the country,

especially the citizens of Sikkim, on the occasion of the Statehood Day of

Sikkim. In her congratulatory message on Friday, the Governor said that Sikkim

has a distinct identity across the country for its unique natural beauty, rich

cultural heritage and awareness towards environmental protection.

She said that the state has presented excellent

examples of sustainable development by establishing harmony with nature. She

expressed confidence that the citizens of Sikkim will continue to make

significant contributions to nation building on the strength of their hard

work, discipline and cultural values. She wished happiness, prosperity, peace

and a bright future for all the residents of Sikkim.
