
New Delhi, 01 May (H.S.): Delhi's Deputy Mayor Dr. Monica Pant conducted a surprise inspection on Friday at DDA Market, Karkardooma, under Ward No. 206 in Anand Vihar area, taking strict action against illegal construction and encroachments. Illegal encroachments were removed on the spot, and relevant departments were directed to take immediate stringent measures.
Deputy Mayor Dr. Monica Pant stated that encroachments and illegal constructions will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Accountability will be fixed for negligent officials. Warning the officials, she said strict action will be ensured if such irregularities reoccur in the future.
Dr. Monica Pant issued strict directives for regular monitoring, cleanliness, and maintaining order in the area.
The Deputy Mayor emphasized that Delhi Municipal Corporation is working on a zero tolerance policy, continuously conducting drives to make the national capital free of encroachments, clean, and organized. She directed officials to ensure strictness and transparency at every level, keeping public interest supreme.
During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner of Shahdara South Zone Mamta Yadav and other relevant officials were present on site.
