Guwahati, 09 April (HS):Garima Saikia Garg, wife of renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, cast her vote at a polling station in Bhagadattapur, Kahilipara, during the ongoing Assam Assembly elections on Thursday.

Garima Saikia Garg was seen exercising her franchise alongside Pami Barthakur, highlighting active participation of prominent personalities in the democratic process.

In other developments, BJP candidate and minister Pijush Hazarika cast his vote in Jagiroad along with his wife Actress Aimee Baruah. BJP’s Bhaskar Sharma voted in Margherita, while Raijor Dal leader Akhil Gogoi exercised his franchise in Sivasagar. Assam Jatiya Parishad candidate Lurinjyoti Gogoi also cast his vote in the Khowang constituency.

Polling continues across the state with enthusiastic participation from voters and candidates alike.-----------
