New Delhi, 08 April (H.S.):

Congress media department chairman Pawan Khera broke his silence with an 8.5-minute video on Tuesday, a day after Assam Police raided his Delhi residence. Shared via the party's official X handle, the statement accuses the government of intimidation tactics while vowing to persist in questioning authorities.

Khera alleged that a large contingent of police officers arrived at his Nizamuddin flat, where neither he nor his family was present. They seized his late sister's old phone, an unused laptop, an iPad, and two pen drives—items whose origins he claims no knowledge of.

He further stated that police are conducting searches wherever they suspect his presence, based on information from government websites detailing companies and assets linked to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma.

The raid stems from an FIR filed by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma over Khera's prior allegations of multiple foreign passports, undisclosed Dubai properties, and a Wyoming-based company involving the CM's family—claims that have escalated into a fierce political standoff ahead of Assam polls.

Khera asserted he is evading police not out of fear, but to continue holding the government accountable.
