Tehran, 05 April (H.S.):

US President Donald Trump warned Iran of unleashing all hell unless it agrees to a nuclear deal and reopens the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, prompting Tehran to retort that escalated aggression would engulf the entire region in chaos.

Escalating Rhetoric and Military Exchanges

Trump reiterated his ultimatum on Truth Social following Saturday's US-Israeli strikes on Iranian military installations, research facilities at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, and a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, where five were killed and 170 injured. Iran responded with missile barrages targeting Israel, Gulf states, and Iraq; intercepted projectiles caused collateral damage from falling debris.

An Iranian spokesman from Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters declared that continued hostilities would transform the region into a quagmire for adversaries, dismissing notions of defeating the Islamic Republic.

Airman Search Amid Hostilities

A US F-15 fighter jet downed over southern Iran on Friday has left one airman missing, with the pilot rescued; a supporting A-10 Warthog was damaged but its crew extracted. Iranian authorities have appealed for civilians to locate the airman alive, offering rewards, while US forces conduct a high-risk recovery operation.

Tehran reported a fourth strike near Bushehr nuclear power plant, killing one employee but sparing core operations, as confirmed by the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency, which detected no radiation spikes and urged restraint to avert catastrophe.

The March 27 US pause on energy infrastructure attacks granted Iran a 10-day negotiation window, now expiring amid stalled Geneva talks. Saturday's Tehran footage shared by Trump—later identified as outdated—claimed elimination of key military leaders, though unverified by either side.

Russia has evacuated 198 Rosatom personnel from Bushehr, underscoring global stakes in a war ignited February 28 over Iran's nuclear program, long crippled by sanctions.
