District authorities have finalized arrangements for the 2026 Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra, with the sacred Jolingkong Shiva temple gates opening to pilgrims on May 1 and online Inner Line Permit (ILP) processing commencing April 28.
In a review meeting chaired by District Magistrate Ashish Kumar Bhattacharya at the Collectorate conference hall, departments received directives ensuring safe, seamless pilgrimage. Pilgrims can apply for ILPs via portal, issued from Dharchula Tehsildar office.
DM emphasized water supply, healthcare, roads, telecom, rations, toilets, security, and sanitation along routes. He tasked Additional DM Yogendra Singh with forming a team for Gunji area's pre-yatra inspection and detailed report.
Daily health checkups mandated at Pithoragarh, Dharchula, and base camps; mini medical camps, ALS ambulances at key points, and ITBP medical staff at checkpoints ordered. District Tourism Officer Kirti Arya must monitor ILPs daily, maintaining pilgrim records for future planning.
BRO tasked with rectifying Dharchula-Gunji and Gunji-Adi Kailash-Kalapani road defects pre-yatra. Taxi, homestay, parking, power, water, cleanliness, and accommodation systems streamlined; Supply department to ensure diesel availability and petrol pump facilities. Attendees included SP Akshay Prahlad Konde and CMO Prashant Kaushik.
