Sonitpur (Assam), 17 April (HS): A gruesome murder has been reported from Bogabil area of Tupia in Jamugurihat, where a man allegedly killed his nephew in a brutal assault.

According to initial reports on Friday, the accused, identified as Paniram Mudi, attacked his 28-year-old nephew Rajiv Mudi with an iron rod last night, repeatedly striking him and causing fatal injuries. The victim succumbed on the spot due to the severity of the assault.

Soon after the incident, Jamuguri Police reached the scene and initiated an investigation. The accused has been arrested and further legal proceedings are underway.------------
