
Kathmandu, 16 April (H.S.):
The Government of Nepal is poised to enact more than 100 new laws while amending existing legislation, with subject identification now complete across key sectors.
Government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokhrel revealed that 103 topics for fresh legislation and targeted amendments have been finalized. All 22 ministries, in coordination with the Prime Minister's and Cabinet offices, are prioritizing these initiatives to expedite drafting and implementation.
The Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs is rigorously reviewing compliance with legislative frameworks and processes, while issuing directives to other ministries on a priority basis.
From this comprehensive list, the government aims to steer 40 to 45 bills through the upcoming federal parliament session, signaling a bold push for systemic reforms.
