Lucknow,
April 15 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Wednesday
that no outside forces should be permitted to meddle with industry operations,
claiming that such involvement might undermine industrial peace and growth. His
comments follow two days of widespread unrest in Noida, when thousands Indian
manufacturing workers, including women, went on strike to seek salary
increases, among other things. Protests had turned violent in several
locations, with burning, stone pelting, and vandalism. Adityanath has mentioned
a conspiracy theory as a possible explanation for the protest violence, which
is presently being investigated by authorities. While addressing at a ceremony
honoring the rollout and flagging off of the one-millionth bus from the Tata
Motors facility in Lucknow on Wednesday, Adityanath termed the occasion as a
source of pride following the company's 34-year presence in the city.
We
must guarantee that no outside influences are permitted to interfere with the
internal affairs of our factories or organizations at any time. 'Bigaadne wale
bahut aaenge, banaane wale kam milenge' (Those who disrupt are numerous, but
those who build are few), said the CM to the gathering, which included the
company's senior officials and workers. He stated that one should be grateful
to institutions and organizations that give work possibilities, education for
children, and progress for young people. He recalled the Tata Group's
contribution, saying it has enabled thousands of families make a living while
also supporting their children's education and advancement. Adityanath stated
that such institutes help young people advance their careers, get respect in
society, and keep their individuality.
He
stated that thankfulness is vital because it improves people and society while
also promoting long-term growth and trust. The chief minister commended Tata
employees on their efforts, stating that the buses produced at the company will
continue to boost public transportation. The occasion was attended by Tata
Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, Tata Motors Managing Director Girish Wagh,
Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta, and Transport
Minister Dayashankar Singh, among others. Adityanath stated that the
introduction of the one-millionth commercial vehicle was more than simply an
industrial milestone; it reflected India's growth and Uttar Pradesh's
preparation as a global manufacturing base.
This
is more than just a milestone; it represents a new path for a new India and
Uttar Pradesh, he remarked. Highlighting the state's demographic edge, he
stated that youngsters make up more than 56% of the workforce in Uttar Pradesh.
Efforts are being made to connect them with skills, innovation, and technology
in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He said that
increased infrastructure and connections in the state were driving industrial
growth, noting the construction of expressways and airports. With the
completion of the Ganga Expressway, Uttar Pradesh now controls a sizable
portion of India's expressway network, he explained.
The
chief minister stated that the Tata Group has gained public trust through its
commitment to excellence and national development in industries ranging from
steel and autos to software and hospitality. He recalled the late Ratan Tata's
achievements and stated that the development of the Lucknow factory created
thousands of jobs. Adityanath also praised the plant's move to greener
technology, including as CNG and electric cars, and its efforts to use
renewable energy and conserve water. He stated that expanding public
transportation with electric cars might help overcome last-mile connection gaps
and contribute to meeting net-zero emission objectives. The chief minister
emphasized cooperation and honesty, saying that trust developed by
organizations such as the Tata Group is critical to economic success and social
advancement.
