Guwahati, 01 April (HS): A severe landslide struck the Kharghuli area of the city at Tuesday night, affecting the road connecting Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Bhawan (Lok Bhawan) and Kharghuli.

The incident occurred following continuous rainfall in the region, which weakened the soil and triggered the landslide. A portion of the under-construction road was damaged as debris and earth slid down, disrupting connectivity in the area.

Authorities are assessing the situation, while efforts are underway to clear the debris and restore normal movement. No casualties have been reported so far.-----------
