
New Delhi, 07 March (H.S.): The Ministry of Women and Child Development will host a national-level celebration for International Women's Day on March 8 at the Manekshaw Centre, with President Droupadi Murmu delivering the keynote address.Ministers Annapurna Devi and Savitri Thakur will attend the event, which kicks off with a welcome speech by Secretary Anil Malik, followed by audio-visual presentations spotlighting women's rising workforce participation and key government schemes for empowerment.
President Murmu will offer the main address, while Minister Devi will highlight initiatives bolstering women-led development nationwide.Post-inauguration, two panel discussions will feature: Labour Codes - Boosting Women's Empowerment and Women in Self-Help Groups as Entrepreneurs.
Around 1,000 women from over 150 ministries, armed forces, police, media, healthcare, sports, and beyond are expected to participate.
