Guwahati, 04 March (HS): The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) government led by Hagrama Mohilary has been expanded with the appointment of three new Executive Members. The Governor approved the expansion following a recommendation from Mohilary, increasing the strength of the Executive Members in the council.

According to official sources, Maheswar Basumatary, a BPF councillor from No. 30 Goreswar constituency; Lakhmi Das, a BJP councillor from No. 27 Nagrizuli constituency; and nominated councillor Karmeshwar Ray have been appointed as Executive Members.

With the fresh appointments, the number of Executive Members in the Mohilary-led BTC government has risen from 14 to 17. The expansion is seen as a move to further strengthen the administrative functioning of the council.--------
