Kolkata, 26 March (H.S.) : Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to release a “White Paper” or “charge sheet” against the West Bengal government and the ruling Trinamool Congress on March 28, during his two-day visit to the state ahead of the upcoming two-phased Assembly elections next month, according to sources in the state BJP.

Initially, the party had planned to release its manifesto, now described as the “Sankalp Patra,” on April 3 or 4. However, efforts are underway to ensure that Amit Shah personally unveils the document, highlighting the party’s proposed programmes and initiatives for West Bengal if it comes to power after the elections. During a recent rally in Raidighi, South 24 Parganas, Shah had emphasised several key promises to the electorate, which will now be formally presented in the White Paper.

On the second day of his visit, BJP President Nitin Nabin chaired a series of high-level organisational and strategic meetings with the state election management team, involving representatives from women, youth, social, religious, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and other backward class groups.

The discussions focused on strengthening booth-level operations, expanding grassroots outreach, and refining the party’s election strategy. Nabin expressed confidence that the people of West Bengal are ready for change and eager for a future free from corruption, fear, and political instability.

He highlighted critical issues for voters, including governance, development, women’s safety, employment opportunities, and the effective implementation of central welfare schemes. Nabin urged party workers to engage actively with citizens, communicate the party’s vision and manifesto at the grassroots level, and intensify efforts over the coming weeks to secure electoral victory.
