Guwahati, 25 March (HS): The scrutiny of nomination papers for the Dhekiajuli constituency remains inconclusive, with the final decision on BJP candidate health minister Ashok Singhal’s nomination deferred till on Wednesday .

Election officials stated that Singhal’s nomination is under detailed examination and a conclusive decision will be taken only after further scrutiny later in the day.

The scrutiny process for the Barpeta constituency has also been adjourned to the same time. Overall, nomination scrutiny was completed for 124 out of 126 constituencies on Tuesday, while the process in Dhekiajuli and Barpeta was kept pending for further review.-----------
