Kolkata, 23 March (H.S.):

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday paid tribute to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Hari Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas.

In a post on social media platform X, Banerjee said the courage of the revolutionary leaders remains the bedrock of the country’s democratic values.

She said that on Shaheed Diwas, people should pledge to uphold the ideals of justice and freedom for which these leaders made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Chief Minister added that their sacrifice would never be forgotten and concluded her message with “Jai Hind”.
